Our cleaning process as prescribed by the CDC and mandated by Broward County:
Our cleaning company has specially trained all of their cleaning staff to ensure awareness and adherence to CDC safety guidelines and cleaning guidelines. The cleaning crew wears disposable gloves when cleaning and disinfecting surfaces. Gloves are discarded after each cleaning. They clean their hands immediately after gloves are removed. If surfaces are dirty, they are cleaned using a detergent or soap and water prior to disinfection. For disinfection, diluted household bleach solutions, alcohol solutions with at least 70% alcohol, and common EPA-registered household disinfectants are used. Diluted household bleach solutions are used if appropriate for the surface.
Our cleaners use a bleach solution by mixing: 5 tablespoons (1/3rd cup) bleach per gallon of water or 4 teaspoons bleach per quart of water.
Beyond just cleaning, they use the following procedures:
- Clean and disinfect all surfaces
- Wash all linens and dishware available for guest use – this includes any linens that were not used by a previous guest
- Provide additional cleaning supplies for guests use during stay
- Minimize direct guest contact during their stay
- Assure that all ceiling fans and HVAC are on continuous run mode
- Ensure all outside sitting areas are clean and disinfected
- Eliminate all extra blankets and pillows – including decorative pillows
